Gilles Vézina: Nature
Gilles is a photographer based in Gatineau, and is interested in all genres of photography (nature, portrait, sport and travel). His particular interests are in contemporary dance and ballet performances as well as outdoor concerts.
As a member of the RA Photo Club of Ottawa for over fifteen years, he organized and presented numerous photography workshops. He also held various administrative position, including that of president of this club of nearly 200 members. He has exhibited his work many times in recent years and has produced a number of travel videos.
Gilles has been a certified judge of the Canadian Association for Photographic Art (CAPA) since 2010. He judges a dozen competitions each year for CAPA and other clubs across Canada.

Kathleen Frombach: Open
Kathleen is from the “Land of Living Skies” Saskatchewan, and is the Membership Coordinator for the Regina Photo Club. She is happily retired after a career as a Medical Social Worker.
Kathleen has been captivated by photography since she received her first camera at the age of nine. She enjoys all genres of photography, focusing on street and travel. She always has a camera close by.
Kathleen has been certified as a Canadian Association for Photographic Art (CAPA) judge since April 2023.
Lynne Kelman: Theme (Monochrome Simplicity)
Lynne studied photography at Berkshire College of Art and worked in arts administration until retirement.
She has embraced the digital photography world and has extensive knowledge of Photoshop techniques. Lynne prints, mattes and frames all her own work in her digital darkroom.
Lynne gives lectures and talks on photography to local photography clubs, and is an active member of the Crescent Beach Photography Club. She has taught photography and mentors locally. Lynne also judges photography privately.
She now immerses herself in her own photography. Her work has been published in local magazines and has hung in several galleries, in Canada and the United States. In August 2022, she had a body of her work in an exhibition at the Newton Cultural Centre and also took part in a group exhibition at White Rock in January 2023 and 2024.
Her photography style is varied with particular emphasis on Still Life Photography. In 2025, Lynne offers Camera Clubs a talk on both the technical and creative side of Still Life Photography.

Cheryl Bramble: People
Cheryl was born in Yorkshire England and grew up in Edmonton Alberta. Her interests include marathons, walking, quilting and singing with local choirs.
Cheryl joined the local Kelowna camera club in 2011 and that’s when photography became a passion. For 5 years she was the club’s Canadian Association for Photographic Art (CAPA) representative and also the Competition Chair, responsible for the club’s submissions to external competitions.
Commitment to continually improving her skills led Cheryl into joining CAPA in 2016 and seven as the CAPA Central Interior District Representative for the Pacific Zone for two years. Cheryl received her CAPA Judge’s Certification in 2020. Since then, she has judged local, national and international competitions, including the CAPA Digital Salon in 2024 and 2025.
In February 2021, she was appointed the Assistant Director of CAPA Competitions, and she is also a member of CAPA’s Competitions Team. In May 2024, she received CAPA’s Associate Fellowship (ACAPA) award. Cheryl considers her involvement with CAPA and its members both an honour and a privilege.
Wes Bergen: Creative Images
Wes has been a keen amateur photographer for over 50 years. He has been a member of the Lions Gate Camera Club since 1969. Wes is a member of the Canadian Association for Photographic Art (CAPA), and was also a member of CAPA’s precursor, the National Association for Photographic Art (NAPA).
He has had numerous acceptances and awards in international competitions, and has sold many of his images for use in calendars, tourism brochures and other publications.
Wes taught Photoshop courses at local school board continuing education departments for about 10 years. He has written columns in Lions Gate Camera Club’s Photolog and in CAPA’s Canadian Camera magazine on digital photography and Photoshop. He is a frequent judge and presents workshops at local photography clubs.
Mitch Stringer: All Print Categories
Mitch is a freelance photographer and photography instructor in Victoria, British Columbia.
He truly enjoys the entire photographic process from capture, process to print and the constant quest of creating exciting images with each and every new assignment. As photography is his creative passion he has been constantly exploring and improving a diversity of skills, experience, and with each new assignment, creating a strong technical and creative photographic understanding.
Mitch has run many destination workshops to locations around the world. His passion and knowledge of photography have successfully driven over 30 years of teaching experience.
