A landscape photo is an image that captures the essence of an outdoor scene, often emphasizing the beauty of nature or the interaction between natural and human-made elements. Traditionally, landscape photography showcases vast, open spaces such as mountains, forests, rivers, or coastal views, but it can also include urban landscapes or industrial settings.

The goal of landscape photography is to evoke a sense of place and atmosphere, often highlighting light, weather, and composition to create a visually compelling image. Some photographers focus on untouched nature, while others incorporate human elements to tell a broader story.

Subject Matter: The image should primarily depict natural scenery, such as mountains, forests, rivers, or coastal views. Urban landscapes are acceptable.

Composition & Creativity: Judges often look for originality, strong composition, and complementary editing.

Technical Quality: The image may be sharp and well-exposed but could be soft, depending the mood you wish to convey, and free from distractions like sensor dust.
