Photography Plus: Understand Your Camera and Improve Your Photos

Course Description
Do you love photography, but aren’t always happy with your photographs? This course—for those new to photography or their camera—will cover the basics of camera use and composition. You’ll learn how to operate your camera, take part in creative exercises and create new images!

Documentary Photography: Creating the Personal Project
Course Description
By learning and applying the techniques of documentary photographers to your personal photo work, you will create a project that will allow you to explore your creative side while improving your general photography and camera-handling skills. Each week, you will create new images for your project and bring those images to share with the class. This can be an existing project or something new and initiated by the class experience.
This is a course about creativity, not equipment. Use whatever camera you own, digital or film. A notebook and pen is required for these sessions.

Course Description

Photo Editing with Integrity

Course Description
In photo editing, using programs such as Photoshop or Lightroom, we can enhance images or render them unrecognizable as photographs—hence the term ‘Photoshop’ is lauded and scorned in equal amounts. A course for photographers wishing to enhance their images gimmick-free with a film-like, old school mindset utilizing digital know-how. When, why and how to edit will be covered including editing software options. There will be five image assignments viewed and critiqued in-class.
