About Mitch Stringer

My passion and knowledge of photography has successfully driven over 30 years of teaching experience.  My faculty positions have included both the Digital Imaging and Applied communications programs and a diversity of Continuing Education classes at Camosun College.  As faculty instructor at the Western  Academy of Photography, I instructed both the Professional photography and Journalism/Photojournalism programs. I continue to follow the light, striving to capture the elusive perfection of 3-dimensional imagery on the 2-dimensional plane.

I know some people thought that there would be a Presenter’s Night last night (October 10).  However, we, the Workshop Committee, stated in July in an email that Alec Lee sent out that there would be 2 Presenter’s Nights in the fall.  At the Season Opener in September, Alec Lee speaking for the Workshop Committee said that there would be 2 Presenter’s Nights in the fall.  So, I’m sorry that there was some confusion.  There will be only 2 Presenter’s Night between January and April.  The next Presenter’s Night following Mitch Stringer’s Presentation will be January 9 with Pulitzer Prize winning photographer, Barbara Davidson talking about Street Photography.
