Alternate Tuesday AM Field Trip – Dallas Road Low Tide
Coordinator: Don Piper
There will be a minus 2 meter low tide at 10:30 today. This is a perfect time to get down on the beach and photograph what most people will never see. Some of the sea weed, crabs, mollusks, crustations, sea urchin, sea anemones, and other low tidal life.
We will meet at San Jose Ave. and Dallas Road, but go down the Staircase to the beach where there is more room to meet safely. Good parking along Dallas Road.
IMPORTANT bring sturdy, water proof footwear, maybe a walking stick, as it will be slippery underfoot.

Come out and join us for a great day at Botanical Beach.
Low tide is around 11:00 AM so that exposes a whole new world of sea life in the tide pools.
This is great for macro photography, also wonderful seascape shots and maybe other wildlife.
We will go to the Port Renfrew Pub for lunch or bring your own picnic lunch if you wish.
8:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Victoria Pride Parade
Group Leader: Rilla Ballantyne
All the smiles and colours of the Pride Parade will be on display for all to see and photograph.
Combine this with the interesting aspects of Street Photography in Downtown Victoria, it will be a fun day.
The parade starts at 11:00 AM.
This year the parade stats at Fisgard and Douglas Streets, heading down Douglas Street, right on Humboldt Street, left on Government Street, right on Belleville Street.
Due to the crowds we won’t try and meet as a group, I will be at the corner of Humboldt and Government Streets on the Empress corner if anyone wants to join me there.
Otherwise find a suitable spot anywhere along the route.
The Parade goes rain or shine.
